Break is good

Horray for winter break. I had an early christmas with my family. I got some sick presents.

First off I got these amazing headphones. They are 5.1 surround sound with a subwoofer, inside the headphones... its crazy.
Next on the list is my new HP camera. Its pretty nice too, it has 5 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. It also came with a little photo printer. Prints normal sized pictures and it has its own little carry case.. its great.
Then I got a wonderful 17 inch LCD monitor. Its very bright, no dead pixels, woot.
Then Martha and her mum got me a really nice sound card so that i can actually listen to 5.1 surround in 5.1 surround. Its amazing, I can hear where each person is in Guild Wars.
I also got from my sister a Gatsby's American Dream hoodie and their new cd, which is pretty good.
Oh I also got one of those mini emergency TVs that have like a 3 inch screen. I'm thinking about hooking it up and using it to play like... console games on really close to the screen. >.<

So yeah I still have a few presents to get from relatives on christmas eve, but even if i don't i'd still be happy with what I have. This is a great christmas.

Oh and if anyone knows of a place that is hiring. Do let me know.

Christmas story continuation

I just found this on a random blog. It was a challenge type thing and you are supposed to write a continuation of this paragraph.

A loud rapping at the door awoke me from a deep dreamy sleep. It was early, too early to be awake, and certainly too early to be out in the streets pounding on doors. I thought that there must be some emergency in town and ran to the door to find out whatever news there was from whoever was there. Much to my surprise, there was no-one at the door ready to identify themselves and their message, and yet a package with my name on it had been left at the door. It was a most curious circumstance, and yet I saw no real harm in it, because secret gift giving was the hallmark of the holiday season. I myself had delivered many a gift in that manner over the years. The package was heavier than it should have been from its size, and once I had it indoors I eagerly opened it to find out what it was and who had sent it. Alas, there was no identification of the giver, and more's the pity because what was inside was a most remarkable carved wood box, worked with figures of animals and dragons all over, in a magnificent shade of red. Whoever sent it to me must have been a prankster, though, because I could see no way into the box, no clasp or lock announced itself, no hinge or platen presented itself as a means to the inside. I was locked out, and most frustrated by this unfortunate turn of events.

Heres what I wrote

With my door safely locked, and me outside of it, I decided to venture off into the night to find my unknown present-providing philanthropist. Knowing that this holiday joker could not be far, especially seeing as I did not hear anything that would indicate a car. Searching the yard to find footprints in the freshly fallen snow, I realized that it was getting quite chilly outside. I remembered that I always left a winter blanket in the car and some gloves in the dash. Adorned like a monk in a gigantic blanket, I was ready for an adventure. As my search continued I realized how beautiful the snow had made the entire scene. With a full moon, it was easy to find footprints in the flawless powder from the snowstorm earlier. They stretched around to the back of the house where I discovered that my entire yard was littered with pieces of blue tinted wood. Suddenly the box that I forgot I had been carrying began to get warm. Looking down at it, I discovered that it was eminating a redish glow. Hearing a rattling I looked back up and saw the pieces, strewn about as before, floating through the air.. The pieces, joining together near the edge of my yard, began to form another box, almost identical to the one I was holding. Speechless I stood as the box pieced itself together, in the same manner as mine was shaped but tinted with green and outlined in white. It began to glow with a greenish light and before my eyes a figure materialized around the box, fully forming to reveal a pale, muscular man in nothing but a white, kilt type cloth wrapped around his waist. Placing his hand under the floating box, he spoke with a silver toungue.

“Come or we will be late.”

He stated as he motioned with his hand. Only now did I realize that this figure was holding a large bow along with a plentiful quiver of arows.

As the figured turned towards the woods, I got the courage to speak.

“Wh-who are you?” I inquired, stuttering.

The figure stopped only to reply.

“Does it matter?”

Intrigued I followed him into the woods. His ability to navigate through the trees and brush amazed me. Three times he was forced to stop, somehow knowing that I was lagging behind, struggling through the deepening snow. I suddenly realized that the snow was not bothering me, as far as potential hypothermia goes. My fingers and toes were not at all cold nor could I feel the cold air on my skin.

“We are almost there”

The scantily clad figure said, breaking me from my thoughts. Becoming more bold I sternly said,

“I demand to know where we are going this instant.”

“A gathering of sorts and you have been invited to join in the celebration” chucled the man.

I let out an audible sigh of relief, which was followed by me blushing because of my realization that I had allowed the figure to see that I was afraid. Just then something caught my attention. There was music coming from ahead of the figure.

Motioning to hurry along, the figure broke into a jog through the snow. Me being much smaller than the larger than life figure, had to literally dash through the snow in order to keep up. The trees thickened up ahead and the figure dissapeared into what looked like a clearing. Following hot on his trail I brok through the thick conifers and nearly fainted at what I saw.

Almost a hundred people, dressed in the same garb as my newly found, living effigy, were seated around an enormous round table. The table had a large hole in the middle and protruding through the hold was the most colossal christmas tree I had even set eyes upon, ornamented with gold and silver trimmings and decorations. Once my eyes averted from the tree, I discovered that these people were not people at all. Knowing my ancient history, I realized that these people all resembled Norse gods and godesses. Being more than overwhelmed, I fell over backwards into the snow. Turning only to give a thunderous laugh at me, my guide stated to the crowd,

“My friends, we have arrived!”

The entire table gave a loud cheer of aproval. Walking back to where I had fallen, my guiding figure proceded to lend me a helping hand up.

“Don’t you understand?” He asked in a joking manner.

“We’ve been doing this since before your christianity existed.”

“This is our celebration of waning sun. It is a time of merryment and joy! Its time to bring the sunny times back again! Come join us!”

The wonderful celebration lasted all night and after placing their own wooden boxes on the large center tree, each god went their way. My guide, which I had come to know as Hod, placed his arm around my shoulder and said,

“Now have you come to realize the true meaning of this season?”

“What do you mean?” I asked, in a haze from the amount of food, and ale, I had consumed.

“Yule’s tide comes once a year and it is a time of forward thinking. You must cherish what you have and what lies ahead, only then can you truly appreciate what this season can bring.” He said with a soft voice.

Then as he went to say goodbye, his mouth emitted a most horrible buzzing sound, so loud that I had to cover my ears and look away. In that moment I opened my eyes and awoke to my alarm.

Early Christmas!

Woot!. I definately got a digital camera and photo printer thingy. They are pretty cool. I definately need to get an actual memory card for it and hopefully a battery charger for it so that I don't go through like 80 batteries a month. Oh that and photopaper.

*Squeals like a little girl over his new camera*

>.<

(like I could really make that high pitched of a sound)

Yeah yesterday I went to a family christmas party/grandparents goodbye, for they are leaving to florida, party. It was cool I guess. My cousin's girlfriend is pregnant and its cute, just cause they are both such hippies. Oh and the more I see my cousin the more I get jealous of his dreads.
Today we bought a tree and decorated it all fancy like, aka; adorning the conifer.

Oh and I'll be starting a picture blog because I plan on taking a million of them.

Oh yeah by the way

I didn't get into Clark

Burn them!

Yestarday was amazing. Haha. Liz, Kyle, Jude and I decided it would be fun to burn a book or two of the ones that we couldn't return. Lol. So we went up into the woods behind the park near here and started a little fire (It took forever to find rocks to put around it...) and then roasted marshmallows and made smores as we burned our books. It was so great. Then as we were on like the last book, we heard and saw a bunch of firetrucks barreling down park ave. and I guess I just got nervous so we put out the fire and ran away >.< .
It wound up not being anything, the fire trucks drove right past us but still it was scary, and we weren't about to go back and start it again. After that we got pizza and an appetizer platter from bluejeans and chilled out in Liz's room untill we all dispersed.

Marketing exam in 7 hours

Its been a fun week. I've hung out with people a lot lately. Its great. We had a sleepover at Liz's yesterday, twas cool. Good conversation with good friends.

On another, more serious note, I have an exam in about 7 hours... Should be interesting.

Winter break is almost here! I'm happy about that. But it means I'm going to be getting a job, which I'm not too excited about. Should be fine though. If anyone knows of a place that is hiring let me know, not that anyone reads this anyway

Procrastination

Yeah I'm supposed to be doing part of my group project paper for marketing, but instead I'm procrastinating. I got bored of guitar and I really don't want to do this paper so I'm posting another entry.

Ello world. The world that we have to put up with, made better by the certain people in it we make good friends with. Good friends that I miss hanging out with and doing things with. Yeah I'm psyched for this winter break, I mean I'm going to get to hang out with people.
Hopefully I'll get myself insured so that I can go around without having to worry about getting pulled over and arrested. It sucks, but I was looking at quotes and progressive gave me a quote of like 680 yearly, which is insane for a first time insurer. I mean I did fill out the minimum things and I'd have like measely insurance to cover if i crashed into anything other than a shitbox. I had a really good point today but I forget it.

Oh well.

Yeah I want to play music with people again, I'm getting better at guitar, I think?

Still

I still haven't heard from Clark yet. I'm having second thoughts about it. I mean I'm just not seeing the benefits of anything, which is one of my flaws, yet. I tend to be an instant gratification person and this waiting game is sickening. I'm tempted to stay at Becker because I've met a lot of cool new people and I've been having tons of fun with them and everything. I feel like they are good friends that I shouldn't let go. I think I just wish I was more like them, open and not caring about anything.

*Sigh*

Anyway yeah so I don't remember if I've mentioned by my family is moving to florida either this summer or even sooner. I've given up arguing and fighting against it. If they want to fucking fuck up everthing in my sister's life its their decision. Its up to her to either give in or take charge. Its a horrible decision for someone who is a sophomore in high school but she has to choose between her family or her friends and hometown.

They should get a swift kick to the face for this... and I hope it bites them in the ass. I don't, however, hope that my sister gets into the wrong croud or become different because she is the coolest person I know and she is voulnerable and just wants to make people happy, which is why she can't let her mum go.
